Jordan Banasiak

Jordan BanasiakThe Jordan Banasiak/NorthPointe Hospitality Management scholarship was set up in memory of Jordan Banasiak. At age 27, Jordan worked as a Patient Care Technician at Northside Hospital Forsyth and attended Gwinnett Tech with plans to become a nurse. Jordan was a hardworking, compassionate and selfless person. Jordan died on January 3, 2019, a result of a tragic car accident. Jordan was the definition of grace and kindness; she had the most caring spirit, always thinking of others. Jordan had an artistic flair and a profound love of animals as well as people.

Jordan left behind her parents and twin brother and numerous extended family members. She had many friends who were also hospital employees. It was those friendships that came up with the scholarships in her memory.

The scholarships were originally started by Mona and Greg Winey. The endowment was created by the NorthPointe Hospitality Management LLC. Jordan’s life and death leaves a legacy for many. In 2023 there will be $6,000 awarded to Northside Gwinnett employees pursuing a nursing degree. In addition, an endowment was established in her memory that ensures her legacy will carry on into the future. Anyone who wishes to contribute to the Jordan Banasiak/NorthPointe Hospitality scholarship may do so by visiting www.gmcgiving.org or contacting the Foundation office. The scholarship will help employees that Jordan never had the opportunity to meet but the generosity will forever change their lives.
